About the position

The Registered Nurse entering a training program at AdventHealth is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, particularly in the hepatology specialty. This role involves direct supervision during the training phase, with a focus on patient safety, effective communication, and adherence to regulatory standards. The position emphasizes teamwork and professional growth within a supportive environment, ultimately transitioning to independent practice after successful completion of the training program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age-specific groups.
  • Utilize the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) to achieve nursing department goals.
  • Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Adhere to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and applicable regulations.
  • Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a school of nursing.
  • Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements.
  • Recent RN experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for at least 1 year.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Professional Certification.
