The Registered Nurse (RN), Clinical II, Outpatient position at MemorialCare Health System focuses on providing exceptional healthcare to terminally ill and palliative patients and their families. Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and practice standards as a framework for the management of patient care.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and appropriate interventions.
• Demonstrates leadership in coordinating patient care across the healthcare continuum.
• Utilizes effective critical thinking skills in patient care management.
• Prioritizes essential functions and demonstrates knowledge of clinical information systems for patient documentation.
• Contributes to an effective and safe working environment.
• Formulates teaching plans based on identified patient learning needs and evaluates their effectiveness.
• Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, and sensitive materials.
• Demonstrates good customer service skills by managing patient and family expectations.
• Interacts positively and constructively with patients and team members.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of relevant experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• Effective problem-solving skills and good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Current RN license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association.

Nice-to-haves

• Home Health, Oncology, and/or Hospice experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.
• Hospice and Palliative Care Certification preferred.
