About the position

The RN House Supervisor is a full-time position responsible for the administrative supervision of nursing services during the assigned shift at Lexington Regional Rehabilitation Hospital. This role involves overseeing nursing personnel to ensure continuity of patient care and providing professional nursing care to patients. The House Supervisor integrates the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice, contributing to a supportive and effective healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for administrative supervision of nursing services on the assigned shift.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing personnel to maintain continuity of patient care.
  • Provides professional nursing care to patients within the assigned unit.
  • Integrates the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice.

Requirements

  • Current state Registered Nurse license required.
  • Current CPR Certification required.
  • One (1) year recent experience required, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of current nursing theory and practice, infection control, and wound care standards.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards set forth by state and accrediting agencies of TJC and CMS.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills and effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
