About the position

FT RN House Supervisor 12 hour day shift and 12 hour nights available at Coachella Valley Behavioral Health in Indio, CA. We are a state-of-the-art, inpatient facility providing excellent treatment for adults struggling with mental health concerns and substance use disorders. Coachella is the only facility of its kind in the area, and we are proud to provide services for those in need of effective behavioral healthcare. The hourly rate range is $44.25 - $57.90 per hour, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for FT Night shift.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day to day oversight of nursing operations of the facility and ensures staffing is adequate to provide care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment teams, other departments and administration to ensure that all residents' needs are met.
• Enforce and interpret policies for the delivery of patient and resident care.
• Ensure proper staffing for each unit, keeping staff ratio and appropriate staffing for patient care needs.
• Ensure chart checks are completed and nursing assessments are accurate and up to date.
• Complete rounds at the beginning of shift and perform random audits.
• Assist DON to ensure all staff are oriented and competent to perform required duties.
• Ensure facility compliance with professional, regulatory and governmental standards.
• Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate urgency related to patient safety.
• Monitor and evaluate patient care processes and outcomes.
• Coordinate all care rendered to patients, including physician orders and diagnostic information.
• Document medical, behavioral health information and nursing care.
• Administer medications and maintain records in accordance with company policies.
• Assist in updating and revising the plan of care as goals/objectives are met.
• Prioritize tasks and delegate staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Lead on shift for all admissions and discharges, and inform physician of changes in patient conditions.
• Utilize administrator-on-call for situations that require additional attention.
• Provide direct care as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Three or more years' experience in nursing practice required.
• One or more years' experience in med/surg nursing preferred.
• One or more years' experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
• One or more years' experience in a supervisory or charge position preferred.
• Current RN license as required by state.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
