About the position
The position involves facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patients to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The role emphasizes promoting optimal health and safety through the nursing process, adhering to patient care standards, and demonstrating accountability for relationship-based care.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with the healthcare team and patient/family.
- Assess patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Evaluate patient's response and intervene to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, and catheterization.
- Advocate for and protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or degree program.
- Current Colorado RN License or a Compact RN License from a NCLA Compact State.
- One year of experience preferred in a nursing role, specifically in ICU.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
