About the position

The Infusion RN Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative aspects of infusion services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. This role involves managing a team of registered nurses (RNs) and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement protocols that optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and evaluate the clinical performance of the infusion nursing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to infusion therapy.
  • Oversee the administration of intravenous infusions.
  • Develop and update evidence-based clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new infusion nursing staff.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide ongoing feedback and mentoring.
  • Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient care and staff performance.

Requirements

  • Current, Florida RN license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in infusion therapy.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role is highly desirable.
  • Certification in Infusion Nursing (CRNI) or Oncology Nursing (OCN) is a plus.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in infusion therapy techniques and protocols.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and education.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Infusion Nursing (CRNI) or Oncology Nursing (OCN) is a plus.
