About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality infusion therapy to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the treatment process. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a compassionate approach to patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients during infusion treatments, assessing vital signs and overall health status.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication administration, and potential side effects.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all aspects of care provided.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards within the infusion unit.
  • Respond promptly to any adverse reactions or emergencies during treatment sessions.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities related to infusion therapy.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Proven experience in medication administration and patient care within a clinical setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is advantageous.
  • Experience in trauma medicine or emergency medicine is a plus.
  • Knowledge of sonography techniques may be beneficial for specific patient assessments.
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable for pediatric infusion cases.
  • Willingness to engage in travel nursing opportunities as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • Experience in trauma medicine or emergency medicine is a plus.
