About the position

The Medical Surgical unit at Mercy South is a critical care area that provides comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing medical and surgical interventions. Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in the Medical Surgical unit.
• Monitor and manage patients preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-operative care.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in medical records.

Requirements

• Nursing Degree from an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license in the state of MO.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
