Southern Tennessee Regional Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation team. This position is critical in providing direct patient care to individuals recovering from various conditions, ensuring that they receive the highest quality of care in accordance with established nursing practices and standards. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission and serves the community of south-central Tennessee, with locations in Winchester and Sewanee. Winchester is a charming small town that offers a blend of outdoor recreation, strong educational institutions, and a growing economy, making it an ideal place for both work and leisure. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for implementing the nursing process, which includes assessing patient needs, planning and executing care interventions, administering medications, and performing clinical treatments. You will document all patient care activities and monitor patient conditions, communicating effectively with the care team, physicians, patients, and their families. Your role will also involve assisting patients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility, while advocating for their physical and emotional well-being. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals, while also addressing the spiritual and psychosocial needs of patients. You will evaluate the learning needs of patients and their families, providing education tailored to their specific circumstances. Participation in staff meetings, in-service training, and committees is expected, as is adherence to hospital policies and procedures. The position may require you to perform duties typically assigned to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Medical Assistants (MA), or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) as needed. You will be expected to maintain a professional appearance and comply with the hospital's dress code, while also being prepared to work scheduled shifts, including overtime and on-call duties as directed.
