About the position
The RN - L & D position at Health Advocates Network involves providing high-quality nursing care in the labor and delivery department. The role is designed for registered nurses who are passionate about supporting mothers and newborns during the childbirth process, ensuring safety and comfort throughout labor and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit.
- Monitor and assess the health status of mothers and newborns during labor.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families about the labor and delivery process and postpartum care.
- Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Oregon.
- Experience in labor and delivery nursing.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies effectively.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) or similar specialty certification.
- Bilingual skills to communicate with a diverse patient population.
