About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) position in Long-Term Care (LTC) involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a long-term care facility. The role requires a compassionate and skilled nurse who can manage patient care, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to residents in a long-term care setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patient health and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Hawaii.
- Experience in long-term care or similar healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of nursing best practices and healthcare regulations.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification in geriatric nursing or related specialty.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
