About the position
The RN/LVN Back Officer Manager at Celebrating Life Community Health Center is a vital role responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care while managing Medical Assistants (MAs) to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position involves direct patient care, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and patient education on preventive health measures. The RN/LVN will also oversee clinic operations, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise Medical Assistants while providing direct nursing care to patients.
- Monitor patient conditions, assess needs, and implement appropriate care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop individualized patient care plans.
- Optimize patient flow by evaluating clinician schedules and minimizing wait times.
- Count, document, and manage controlled substances according to clinic policy.
- Ensure the clinic environment meets hygiene and safety standards by decontaminating equipment and sanitizing surfaces.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to confidentiality policies for MAs and support staff.
- Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and their families.
- Stay updated through educational workshops and conferences.
- Ensure compliance with Vaccines for Children (VFC) program requirements and manage inventory and emergency supplies.
- Oversee supply ordering and maintain emergency cabinets to contribute to clinic operations and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Registered Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse with a solid understanding of nursing care methods and emergency care procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines, including sanitation and decontamination protocols.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Compassionate, responsible, and patient-focused with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent diploma.
- Valid RN/LVN license issued by the State of California.
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
