About the position

As a Registered Nurse in the Medical Specialty Unit at Swedish Issaquah, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care. You will be expected to lead and coordinate care, collaborating with an inter-professional team to integrate nursing knowledge effectively. Responsibilities

  • Assess and identify appropriate nursing diagnoses for patients.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs.
  • Develop, update, and coordinate the patient's plan of care to achieve goals and optimize outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care, promoting patient autonomy and dignity.
  • Foster a learning environment for patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and practice within legal parameters.
  • Lead and coordinate teams, delegating tasks appropriately and collaborating with the inter-professional care team.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 1 year of nursing experience in Med Surg.

Nice-to-haves

  • National Certification in area of specialty upon hire.
