Southern Tennessee Regional Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a Joint Commission accredited hospital that serves the patients of south-central Tennessee. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable standards of practice. Your responsibilities will include performing plan of care interventions such as medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. You will document patient care, monitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assisting patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation, will be a key part of your role. You will also collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, and addressing spiritual and psychosocial support needs. Evaluating the learning needs of patients and their families and providing appropriate education will be essential. In addition to your nursing duties, you may be required to perform tasks typically assigned to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Medical Assistants (MA), or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) as needed. Participation in staff meetings, in-service training, and committees is expected, along with adherence to the policies and procedures of Southern Tennessee Regional Health System. The role may require working scheduled shifts, including overtime, and accepting on-call duties as directed. Maintaining a professional appearance in compliance with the dress code is also important.
