About the position
The RN Medical/Surgical Part Time Nights position at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus involves providing professional nursing care within an assigned unit, focusing on individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care. The role requires coordination of care planning with other disciplines and participation in the evaluation of nursing practice effectiveness. The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety guidelines are followed and may supervise other healthcare team members.
Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
- Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
- Renders individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on patient needs.
- Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
- Participates in hourly rounding.
- Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
- May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s).
- Supervises other members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school.
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
- CPR certification.
- ACLS certification as applicable by Facility/Department.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- 1 year of acute care experience preferred but will consider new graduates.
- Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.
