About the position

The RN Mental Health position at Allina Health System focuses on providing exceptional care to individuals with mental health needs. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, developing and modifying care plans, and collaborating with patients and families to achieve realistic health outcomes. The nurse will work in a variety of settings, primarily in a hospital environment, and will be responsible for coordinating care and ensuring patient safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient and family needs.
• Establish and modify the plan of care based on patient assessments.
• Supervise patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Incorporate evidence-based nursing practices into care plans.
• Collaborate with patients and families to set realistic and measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate and delegate care to ensure safe and effective patient treatment.
• Fulfill all organizational requirements and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Associate's or Vocational degree in Nursing.
• 0 to 2 years of RN experience in a mental health setting.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Minnesota or Wisconsin upon hire.
• Current BLS certification from an accredited provider.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• CARN Certified Addictions Registered Nurse certification.
• RN-BC Mental Health certification.
• RN-BC Gerontology certification.
