About the position

The RN - Mother Baby position at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is a .9 FTE night shift role focused on providing exceptional care to mothers and their newborns. This position involves working three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends, and offers a supportive environment that values the contributions of nurses. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns in the Mother Baby unit.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care and infant care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire if practicing within this state.
• 1 year of nursing experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in maternal and newborn nursing.
• Certification in neonatal resuscitation.
