About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at CarePro of NY, Inc. in Staten Island, NY. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing appropriate interventions to ensure optimal health outcomes. The RN will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and provide care in various settings, including long-term care facilities and pediatric environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations of patients.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and wellness strategies.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations including sonography as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Utilize aseptic techniques in all clinical procedures to prevent infection.
• Offer support and care in various settings including long-term care facilities, medical-surgical units, and pediatric environments.
• Assist in the management of chronic conditions through effective patient education and follow-up.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Experience in health coaching, long-term care, or medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
• Proficiency in medication administration and knowledge of aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes, including sonography.
• Experience working with children is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in nursing practices.
