About the position

The RN Nurse Manager position at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo, IN, is responsible for overseeing the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
  • Develop partnerships between team members, physicians, and the network.
  • Ensure staff meets departmental workload and assignments reflect appropriate utilization of personnel.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Lead efforts in achieving patient/physician relationship goals and staff rounding.
  • Manage departmental budgets and financial resources effectively.
  • Communicate and negotiate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of RN experience required.
  • 3 or more years of management/leadership experience required.
  • 3 or more years of PCU experience strongly preferred.
  • 2-year / associate degree in nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree required within 5 years of assuming the role.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency required.
  • Certification in relevant specialty or Nursing Administration required within three years of assuming the role.
  • Knowledge of Performance Improvement philosophy.
