About the position

The RN Nurse Manager for Primary Care/Community Health will oversee nursing functions at an FQHC in East Harlem, collaborating closely with the Director of Nursing. This role involves managing staff, ensuring effective workflow, and addressing disciplinary matters in a union environment, with a focus on pediatric and ambulatory care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assignments and workflow of nursing staff.
• Handle disciplinary issues and serve as the first level of escalation on the floor.
• Manage staff and patient interactions in a union environment.
• Ensure quality nursing care in pediatric and community health settings.

Requirements

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BLS Certification
• Infection Control Certification
• COVID vaccination required
• 1 year of nursing experience (preferred)

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Pediatrics
• Ambulatory Care/FQHC/Community Health Out-patient Experience
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically eClinicalWorks
