About the position

The Nursing Manager is a Registered Nurse responsible for leading and managing the delivery of patient care across multiple sites or departments. This role involves collaboration with nursing staff and healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care, fiscal management of the clinic/department, and the implementation of innovative patient care delivery models. The Nursing Manager also plays a key role in staff empowerment and continuous improvement of patient care services.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, develop, supervise, and evaluate the delivery of patient care at multiple sites or departments.
• Provide clinic leadership in partnership with nursing and healthcare teams to assure quality patient care.
• Facilitate staff empowerment in implementing innovative patient care delivery models.
• Stimulate a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach for continuous improvement of patient care services.
• Assume responsibility for fiscal management of the clinic/department in conjunction with the Administrator.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or related field required.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS or ACLS certification as per Henry Ford Health policy.
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience demonstrating leadership skills in a clinical setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in Charge Nurse duties, leadership of special projects, and quality improvement initiatives.
