About the position

The RN Nurse Manager at Nyack Ridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is responsible for overseeing the operations of a unit within the long-term care facility. This role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The Nurse Manager participates in various departmental activities and serves as a key liaison among patients, families, and medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all areas of the assigned Unit.
• Assist with treatment and medication administration.
• Participate in family meetings and discharge planning process.
• Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor, and other departments.
• Investigate all incident reports and follow up accordingly.
• Manage staff assignments to ensure quality of care.
• Participate and report on patient conditions in weekly risk meetings.
• Handle annual evaluations of staff.

Requirements

• Valid R.N. license for New York.
• Experience in Long Term Care (Preferred).
• Two years of supervisory management experience in an LTC setting.
• PRI Assessor (Preferred).
• I.V. Certifications.
• Basic Life Support Certification.
