About the position
The RN Nurse Supervisor at Harbor Oaks Hospital is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the behavioral health unit, ensuring adequate staffing and high-quality patient care. This full-time position involves leading nursing staff, coordinating care, and maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients. The role emphasizes safety and collaboration among team members to provide effective mental health and addiction treatment.
Responsibilities
- Provide, delegate, coordinate, and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts of team members.
- Function as the lead nurse on assigned shifts, ensuring proper staff assignments and direction of duties.
- Provide professional and administrative leadership to nursing staff.
- Accountable for oversight of staffing performance and coordination of care activities.
- Document medical and behavioral health information and nursing care accurately.
- Administer medications and maintain records in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in developing and updating individualized patient care plans with measurable goals and interventions.
- Maintain a therapeutic environment in collaboration with patients and care providers.
- Utilize universal precautions and environmental safety guidelines consistently.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
- Current RN license as required by state.
- Three or more years' experience in nursing practice required.
- Two or more years' experience in behavioral health preferred.
- One or more years' experience in a supervisory or charge position preferred.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
Nice-to-haves

- Leadership training or certifications.
