About the position

The Registered Nurse Supervisor at First Place Pediatrics, Inc. is responsible for leading a team of pediatric nurses in providing exceptional home health care. This role emphasizes patient assessments, care plan development, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of passionate pediatric nurses (LVNs and RNs).
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop personalized care plans.
  • Manage insurance authorizations to ensure smooth and timely approvals.
  • Conduct supervisory visits to maintain quality care and ensure adherence to plans.
  • Oversee recertifications and keep documentation up-to-date.
  • Assist with new patient admissions, creating seamless transitions into care.
  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, compassionate care.
  • Build meaningful relationships with families, contributing to a sense of community and trust.
  • Celebrate successes and encourage teamwork to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics or home health.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical skills and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about building connections and providing the highest quality of care.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual clinicians, especially those fluent in Spanish, are a plus and highly encouraged to apply.
