About the position

The RN Nursery Level II position at HonorHealth involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the nursery setting. The role emphasizes creating a multi-dimensional care experience, supporting both patients and their families, and contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Record patients' medical history and symptoms.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and analyze results.
  • Operate medical equipment and administer treatment and medications.
  • Establish or contribute to care plans for patients.
  • Administer medications and therapies, ensuring correct dosages and avoiding interactions.
  • Start, maintain, and discontinue intravenous (IV) lines as needed.
  • Observe patients and document observations accurately.
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare clinicians regarding patient care.
  • Teach patients and their families about managing illnesses or injuries and post-treatment care.
  • Provide direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides regarding patient care.
  • Precept new hire staff and students, assisting them in completing competency skills.
  • Enhance personal knowledge in nursing management and patient care.
  • Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of care plans and nursing practices.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited NLN/CCNE institution.
  • Valid RN License in the State of Arizona upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
  • More than 10 months of experience in a med-surg or acute specialty setting.
  • At least 1 year of RN experience for float positions.
