About the position

This is a full-time position responsible for coordinating care for the cardiothoracic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating surgeries, diagnostic testing, labs, patient education, and assisting the surgeon in clinic with patient exams. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure that all aspects of patient care are managed effectively and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the cardiothoracic unit. In this position, you will coordinate daily workflow for the unit, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a timely and effective manner. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care, which is essential for optimal patient outcomes. Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction will be a key focus of your role. As a leader within the team, you will provide guidance and support to staff, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism. Your participation in quality improvement initiatives will be crucial, as you will contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance the quality of care provided to patients. This position is integral to the success of the cardiothoracic team and requires a dedicated and skilled professional.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
  • BLS certification.

  • Professional certification in a relevant specialty.
