About the position

The RN - Oncology Infusion position at Mercy is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional care in a busy hospital-based Oncology Infusion Center. The center specializes in outpatient IV therapy and oncology treatments, catering to a diverse adult patient population. The role requires a dedicated nurse to work in a fast-paced environment, participating in clinical trials and delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients receiving oncology infusions.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses during treatments.
• Assist in clinical trials and specialized services offered at the infusion center.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Current RN license within the hiring state or compact licensure.
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and walking.
