About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology position at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a part-time night role focused on providing comprehensive care to oncology patients. The RN will coordinate with a multidisciplinary care team, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role emphasizes professional growth, leadership, and adherence to regulatory standards while fostering a supportive community for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the efforts of the multidisciplinary care team for oncology patients.
• Provide direct patient care and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to improve patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate leadership and management skills in patient care delivery.
• Advocate for patients and serve as a role model for the mission and values of Shawnee Mission Health.

Requirements

• Kansas Registered Nurse License
• BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or obtained within 4 years of employment
