About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a full-time role focused on providing comprehensive care to patients in an orthopedic setting during night shifts. The RN will coordinate with a multidisciplinary care team, utilizing the nursing process to ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to established policies and procedures. This role emphasizes professional growth, leadership, and a commitment to the holistic care of patients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the efforts of the multidisciplinary care team for patients within the RN's scope of responsibility.
• Provide direct patient care and collaborate with patients, families, peers, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to maintain and improve patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate leadership and management skills while maintaining professional accountability and growth.
• Serve as a role model for the mission, vision, and values of Shawnee Mission Health.

Requirements

• Kansas Registered Nurse License
• BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or obtained within 4 years of employment
