About the position
The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation while meeting competently all safe expectations of a nurse.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Meet all safe expectations of a nurse competently.
Requirements
- Current CA RN License
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- BSN
- Minimum One year experience as a PACU RN in an acute care setting
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Nice-to-haves
- Two years experience as a PACU RN in acute care setting
- Standing and walking for long periods of time, approximately 75% of the workday
- Sitting approximately 25%
- Transfer and lift patients as necessary; Weight will vary from patient to patient
- Have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; Must be free from signs of illness and infections
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
