About the position
Ventura MedStaff is seeking a qualified PCU RN for a travel nursing position in Bridgton, Maine. Contracts typically last between 8 to 13 weeks, with guaranteed hours and flexible start dates, allowing for a tailored work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Maine or compact state.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PCU or similar nursing environment.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Previous travel nursing experience.
