About the position
Meritas Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Briarcliff team in Kansas City, MO. This position offers an opportunity to provide patient care in a primary care setting, working under the direction of physicians and advanced practice providers. The RN will play a crucial role in delivering quality healthcare, ensuring patient safety, and promoting teamwork within the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under the direction of a physician or nurse practitioner.
- Accurately carry out verbal or written orders from physicians.
- Assess and counsel patients competently.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Schedule patient procedures efficiently.
- Relay test preparation instructions and physician instructions to patients.
- Educate patients and caregivers about procedures and treatment plans.
- Assist providers to maximize patient volume.
- Return patient calls in a timely manner.
- Document patient care accurately and timely.
- Perform EMR tasks correctly and timely.
- Coordinate and assist in the delivery of healthcare plans with care team members.
- Promote teamwork and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Missouri Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a physician's office setting (preferred).
- Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association.
- Basic office skills and patient-centered mindset.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
