About the position
The Private Duty Nursing (PDN) role involves providing skilled nursing care to medically fragile patients in their homes, ensuring they receive quality care in a comfortable environment preferred by both patients and their families. This position is crucial for maintaining the health and well-being of patients who require specialized nursing services.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to medically fragile patients in their homes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on care plans and health management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) certification.
- Experience in pediatric nursing and care for patients with G-tubes.
- Ability to work night shifts from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM on weekends.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with home healthcare settings.
- Certification in pediatric advanced life support (PALS).
