About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Good Samaritan Society is a PRN role focused on providing individualized nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care, collaborating with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality service and compassionate care. This role may also involve serving as a charge nurse and delegating tasks to other nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan and evaluate care.
- Demonstrate competency in nursing practices within the assigned clinical setting.
- Care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, and provide resident education.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Provide support to delegates to ensure safe and reliable administration of resident care.
Requirements
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Maintain required department specific competencies and certifications.
