About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) at StoneCrest Center is responsible for providing and coordinating care for patients by assessing their physical and behavioral health needs. This role involves developing and implementing nursing care plans, maintaining medical records, and educating patients and their families about health conditions. The RN will ensure compliance with nursing practice standards and facility policies while demonstrating therapeutic rapport with patients and effectively communicating with all stakeholders involved in patient treatment.
Responsibilities
- Assess physical and behavioral health needs of patients.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions.
- Ensure compliance with physician's orders and nursing practice standards.
- Monitor and document patient status and significant changes.
- Administer medications accurately and document controlled substance administration.
- Complete admission and discharge processes efficiently.
- Exhibit therapeutic rapport with patients and maintain professional boundaries.
- Coordinate unit activities as directed.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Previous psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Medication administration skills.
Nice-to-haves
- De-escalation and restraint certification preferred.
- CPI training available upon hire.
