About the position

The RN - Progressive Care/Telemetry position at Volto Consulting involves providing specialized nursing care in a telemetry unit, focusing on patients with cardiac conditions. The role requires a commitment to at least two shifts per week, with a preference for three, and involves both direct patient care and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collect health history data from patients and their families.
• Complete admission assessments within the acceptable time frame.
• Notify consults when admitting criteria has been identified.
• Complete Braden scale assessments appropriately.
• Continually reassess the developmental, biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge needs of patients.
• Create individualized, age-appropriate plans of care involving patients and their families.
• Update and revise plans of care as needed based on patient status changes.
• Develop realistic outcomes and resolutions based on patients' developmental stages.
• Recognize and document interventions needed to achieve outcomes.
• Continually reevaluate patients' needs and initiate appropriate nursing actions.
• Delegate responsibilities for care and make assignments according to caregivers' skill levels.
• Perform patient care activities based on priorities of care.
• Integrate, delegate, and coordinate patient care using an interdisciplinary approach.

Requirements

• Valid NJ RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• 1-2 years of experience in Cardiac/Telemetry
• 1-2 years of experience in Acute Care
• Basic dysrhythmia experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or enrolled in BSN program

Nice-to-haves

• PCCN Certification preferred
