About the position
The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse at Amergis is responsible for providing comprehensive care to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. This role requires a blend of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise, focusing on promoting well-being through prevention, education, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. The PMH RN will work in various settings, demonstrating critical thinking and clinical judgment in coordinating patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
- Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients.
- Promote well-being through prevention and education.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment in patient care coordination.
- Work in a variety of settings to support individuals, families, and communities.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing.
- Current CPR certification if applicable.
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
- Current Health certificate as per contract or state regulation.
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
