About the position

The Regional RN Clinical Educator for Critical Care Services at SSM Health is responsible for the education and training of critical care staff across various locations in Oklahoma. This role involves assessing learning needs, developing educational programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The educator will utilize both virtual and in-person teaching methods, fostering relationships and communication skills to enhance the competency of nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
• Identifies and/or develops teaching tools and instructional materials.
• Maintains training record of educational activities in the Learning Management System or similar system.
• Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in health care to nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patient's age-specific needs and clinical needs.
• Demonstrates professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model.
• Uses the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide responses to the current and evolving health and nursing needs of patients and populations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
• Three years of registered nurse experience.
• Valid RN License in the state of work location.
• Valid BLS Certification.
