About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery at Williamson Health is responsible for providing high-quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care. This role emphasizes holistic patient care, integrating emotional support and education with superior medical and nursing practices to ensure patient well-being. The RN will work in a dynamic environment, addressing the needs of a diverse patient population, and will be expected to function effectively under pressure while maintaining a commitment to compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care.
  • Incorporate emotional support and education into patient care.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients upon admission.
  • Plan individualized patient care based on identified needs and nursing diagnoses.
  • Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Administer medications and solutions safely according to hospital policies.
  • Reassess patient conditions and modify care plans as necessary.
  • Accept charge responsibilities and facilitate staff development.
  • Maintain a healing and therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Requirements

  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • At least one year of perinatal experience preferred.
  • Certified Lactation Consultant preferred.
  • NRP certification within six months of hire.
  • ACLS certification or agreement to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Level I, Level II, and fetal monitoring certifications within one year of hire.
