About the position
The RN position in the Rehab Unit at Mercy Ada, OK, is a part-time role focused on providing compassionate patient care during night shifts. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to ensure effective patient care, maintain professional accountability, and coordinate with other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality. This role is integral to the mission of delivering exceptional service and care.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
- Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care for assigned patients.
- Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
- Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
- Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
- Completion of hospital and required nursing competencies, mandatory in-services, and relevant certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS) within the required time frame.
