About the position

The RN Residency Program at UNC Health Wayne is designed to facilitate the transition from nursing education to a professional nursing career. This program provides new graduates and returning nurses with the necessary guidance and practical knowledge to develop their nursing skills, adjust to a fast-paced hospital environment, and gain confidence in their nursing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the RN Residency Program to bridge the gap between nursing education and professional practice.
• Receive guidance and support from experienced nursing staff.
• Develop nursing skills and strengths through practical training.
• Adjust to the fast-paced acute care hospital setting.
• Learn to handle everyday situations faced by nurses.
• Train for the new nursing position at UNC Health Wayne.

Requirements

• Recent nursing graduate or nurse returning to acute care setting.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a hospital work environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a patient-centered care team.
