About the position
The RN in Same Day Surgery at Merit Health Women's Hospital is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and quality patient and family-centered care in the perianesthesia care unit. This role involves assessing patients and developing care plans that address their physical, psychological, educational, and sociocultural needs before anesthesia.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective patient care in the perianesthesia care unit.
- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans.
- Validate existing patient information and prepare patients for anesthesia.
- Address the physical, psychological, educational, and sociocultural needs of patients and their families.
Requirements
- Current RN License
- Experience in perianesthesia care or similar nursing roles
- Ability to assess patient needs and develop care plans
Nice-to-haves
- Certification in perianesthesia nursing
- Experience with diverse patient populations
