About the position
The RN Shift Coordinator will provide support and will work collaboratively with the Clinical Manager and the Director. The Shift Coordinator will hold staff accountable on his/her shift and provide feedback to Clinical Manager. The Shift Coordinator is an extension of the Clinical Manager and is empowered to address issues and concerns on his/her respective shift. This staff member will work 1/3rd of her/his shifts in staffing.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Clinical Manager and Director.
- Hold staff accountable during shifts.
- Provide feedback to the Clinical Manager.
- Address issues and concerns on respective shifts.
- Work 1/3rd of shifts in staffing.
Requirements
- Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Previous charge nurse or leadership experience
- Minimum 3 years RN experience
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units
- National certification in specialty or nursing administration
- Thoracic/Vascular PCU experience
