About the position

We are looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate nurse to join us in serving lives through one-on-one patient care in a home environment. Maxim offers comprehensive training to all of our nurses, including new graduates, to ensure our caregivers are able to provide exceptional services and quality of life strategies, while building their own experience and professional growth. This position involves caring for both pediatric and adult patients, and the essential nursing tasks for this role may include enteral feed placement and G-tube care, tracheostomy care (with training provided), and ventilator management (extensive training program available).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
• Performs focused interview to identify specific patient needs
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psycho-social changes in the patient's condition
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses
• Other Registered Nurse (RN) duties as assigned

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) state license in which the Registered Nurse (RN) practices
• Current Health Certificate - completed within the last 6 months
• Current BLS card
• PPD test, or Chest X-ray completed within the last year (available in office if needed)
• Reliable transportation
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience is preferred, but not required
