Responsibilities
- Coordinate clinical activities for Laboring, Antenatal and Post-Partum (couplet) patients.
- Utilize nursing process in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care.
- Supervise activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, and Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Comply with hospital policies and procedures and nursing standards.
- Support the goals and objectives of the department and hospital.
Requirements
- Successfully completed Board Certified Registered Nursing Program.
- One (1) year labor experience required.
- Current LA RN licensure.
- BLS required on hire.
- ALS and NRP preferred on hire, required within 3 months of hire.
- AWHONN Intermediate & Advanced Fetal Monitoring within 24 months of hire.
Nice-to-haves
- Certifications through any International Liaison Committee on resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross.
