About the position

The RN Supervisor at Briarcrest Nursing Center is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility during the AM shift, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role emphasizes compassionate care for residents, effective communication with families and staff, and the ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment. The supervisor will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities of the facility during the AM shift.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as necessary.
• Assess and develop resident care plans.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of resident care rooms and treatment areas.
• Maintain a well-stocked medicine supply room.
• Monitor nursing staff compliance with resident care plans.
• Check staff adherence to safety equipment and hygiene procedures.
• Administer medications as needed.
• Accompany physicians on rounds as requested.
• Follow all facility policies and procedures, including confidentiality protocols.
• Conduct fire safety and disaster preparedness drills as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Attend meetings and serve on committees as needed.
• Comply with annual in-service training programs.

Requirements

• Nursing Degree from an accredited school or college.
• Valid RN license in good standing.
• Valid CPR and BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Proficient in using a computer or tablet for data entry.
