About the position

The RN Supervisor (T&RC) Clinician position at Stony Brook University is a full-time role focused on overseeing clinical operations within the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP). The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, managing staff, and coordinating clinical activities to support the program's objectives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.
• Coordinate patient care activities and manage patient flow within the CPEP.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff.
• Participate in staff training and development programs.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided to patients.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in psychiatric nursing.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMH-BC).
• Experience in emergency psychiatric care.
