About the position
The RN Surgical Acute position at Sequoia Hospital involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a surgical acute setting. Responsibilities
- Perform nursing functions including assessment, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Obtain and monitor vital signs and observe cardiac monitors.
- Assist in various procedures such as biopsies, echocardiograms, and CT scans, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Provide nursing administrative duties including patient follow-up and education, as well as staff in-service education.
- Coordinate patient schedules to ensure efficient and safe procedure performance.
- Address psychosocial needs of patients and act as an educator for patients and their families.
Requirements
- Current California licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
- One to two years of clinical nursing experience, or participation in a New Grad Orientation program for newly graduated nurses.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
