The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Thief River Falls Medical Center involves providing individualized nursing care to patients through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
- Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan and evaluate care.
- Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise.
- Care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Plan and coordinate patient care, including assessment, education, triage, and nursing interventions.
- Function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
- At least one year of nursing experience required.
- At least six months of travel nursing experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
- Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a not-for-profit healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with the nursing standards and ethics as published by the American Nurses Association.
