About the position
Gold Crest Care Center is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager for the day shift, Monday to Friday, at our Skilled Nursing Facility in the Bronx, NY. The RN Unit Manager will oversee all aspects of unit operations, including supervising nursing staff and monitoring patient care, ensuring a high standard of care and a compassionate environment for residents and their families.
Responsibilities
- Oversee unit, treatment, and medication administration.
- Complete resident care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing staff.
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing support to residents and their families.
- Attend and participate in weekly meetings.
- Conduct daily audits of all new admission charts.
- Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor, and other departments.
- Investigate all incident reports and follow-up.
- Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure quality of care.
- Participate and report on patient conditions in risk management meetings.
- Participate in annual evaluations of staff.
- Maintain resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Implement and interpret organizational policies and procedures, and nursing standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Must hold valid NYS RN License
- LTC Experience Required
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
